E-2 code, the lifting mechanism stops working

Elephant Desks

Last Update 9 miesięcy temu

"E-2" Code means your desk's enhanced Collision Sensing feature is triggered and your desk now stops operating and move toward the opposite direction for about 10mm.

Since there's a high-precision gyro sensor in your memory controller casing, unexpected triggering often occurs when the memory controller is not securely and firmly attached to the wood top, so that any hand-held motion or finger pressure would slightly wiggle the controller and trigger this feature.

Once the desk is fully assembled and the controller is securely attached to the wood top, this "E-2" code should go away completely.

You are all set if you hardly see any controller wiggles when pressing any buttons after a full assembly.

Hacker's note🔑: If you are not a fan of using screws to securely mount the memory controller. Please consider using a double-sided Gorilla Mounting Tape, that thing really sticks! Don't forget to make sure the contact surfaces are flat and free from dust or wood hole bulges.
